Please read this carefully to ensure you get the most out of your TCS nail sets. Proper prep and removal are the most important parts of wearing your press-ons!

How to Apply

Prep

Push back cuticles, clean natural oils, and buff the surface to remove shine. File corners if needed.

Clean

Wipe with rubbing alcohol to remove impurities. I recommend a nail dehydrator for a superior bond.

Adhere

Apply glue (avoid cuticles). Place the press-on at a 45° angle to eliminate air bubbles and hold for 15 seconds.

Pro Tip: Avoid water, creams, and oils for 2 hours before and after application to ensure a long-lasting set.

Adhesive Options

Sticky Tabs

Provide 1-3 days of wear. Ideal for short-term use such as events or when you prefer not to commit to long-term wear. Suitable for those whose lifestyle, work, or religious practices require flexibility. Easily removable and perfect for frequent reuse.

Makartt Nail Glue

Offers a medium hold of 5–14 days. Success depends on proper prep. Do not attempt to remove before 5 days to avoid damaging natural nails.

SOFbond™ Glue

Advanced air-dry gel adhesive for 2–4 weeks of wear. We recommend reapplying every 2 weeks to preserve your set. Do not attempt to remove before 7 days to avoid damaging natural nails.

Note: If nails lift or pop off within five days, it typically indicates an error in preparation. Please review the application guidelines. If the issue persists after following all steps, contact us for further assistance.

Adhesive Safety Disclaimer

For your safety, only use adhesives specifically formulated for nail application. The Cox Studio does not support the use of superglue or non-nail adhesives, which can cause chemical burns and permanent damage.

Always Patch Test: Regardless of the brand, you must perform a patch test 24–48 hours prior. Apply one nail only and monitor for redness, heat, itching, or swelling. If a reaction occurs, remove immediately and discontinue use.

Safe Removal

The Soak

Prepare a bowl of hot water with dish soap and oil. Soak your nails for 15–30 minutes. If the nails don’t lift, extend the soak until they release easily.

Gentle Lift

Use a cuticle stick to gently lift around the edges. Never force or pull. If there is resistance, you need more soak time. Once off, wash your hands and nourish your nail beds with cuticle oil.

Crucial Safety Rule

If using glue, do not remove before 7 days. Premature removal can peel your natural nail bed and cause damage. Proper timing is everything.

Refining Your Tips

Glue residue inside your gel tips? Use an electric file or a glue scraper—available in my shop—to clean the underside, leaving them perfectly prepared for your next application.

Application Pro Tips

The Prep

Clean cuticles and remove all oil/buildup. This is the most critical step to avoid lifting. If you have naturally oily nails, always use a dehydrator first.

Moisture Control

Water molecules interfere with adhesion. Ensure hands are bone-dry—avoid washing them right before application. Skip creams and oils for 2 hours before and after.

Technique

Prep one hand at a time. Once the nail is dehydrated, apply immediately. Do not touch the nail surface, or you will transfer oils back onto the nail.

Adhesive Selection

• Short Wear: Use sticky tabs.
• Medium Hold (5–14 days): Use Makartt glue.
• Strong Hold (2–4 weeks): Use SOFbond™ glue.

Maintenance

The Cox Studio luxury gel nails are crafted with high-quality materials to be durable and reusable. However, the longevity of your set is determined by your daily care.

Treat Like Jewels

They are not tools. Avoid using them to open objects or hitting them against hard surfaces to prevent damage or popping.

Daily Oil

Apply cuticle oil daily. Moisturized cuticles prevent lifting and keep your nails looking fresh and secure.

Protect

Always wear gloves when cleaning. Harsh chemicals are damaging to your enhancements, your natural nails, and your skin.

After removal, clean your nails and store them safely. With proper care, they can be reused many times—often lasting over a year. That part is up to you.

Client reports indicate that sets are commonly reused up to 5 times when applied with glue, with each wear lasting approximately 2 weeks. For occasional wear with adhesive tabs, sets have been reported to remain wearable for over one year. Results may vary depending on application, care, and individual nail conditions.
