Hi! My name is Jenifer Cortés, professionally known as Jenifer Cox.
I’m a multi-passionate creative artist based in Dublin and the founder of The Cox Studio, a brand that brings together my background in beauty, design, and artistry through luxury reusable gel nails and professional makeup services.
I’ve always been drawn to creativity — makeup, nails, photography, design, drawing, and everything “crafty.”
What began as a passion for art and aesthetics evolved into a career built around transforming small details into powerful statements.
After studying Graphic Design in Madrid, Spain, I moved to Ireland to improve my English and study makeup professionally. After four years of study and preparation, in 2019 I completed a Degree in Fashion, Theatre, Media Makeup and Aesthetics with Portobello Institute in Dublin. I continued developing my skills through advanced training with Dublin Bodypaint and Make Up For Ever Academy, where I received a Distinction Diploma.
Through education and client work, I gained extensive experience across makeup, body paint, SFX, wig making, and nail art. This multi-disciplinary background shaped how I approach my work — combining artistic vision with precision and attention to detail.
Since graduating, I’ve worked as a freelance artist for high-profile clients and creative productions. My work has been featured and published internationally in Prime Magazine (USA), KODD Magazine (France), Horizont Magazine (USA), and Fashion Grunge (USA), and showcased across major platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Dublin International Film Festival, San Francisco IndieFest, Cannes Film Festival, Galway Film Fleadh, and Phoenix Film Festival. These are only a few highlights from an extensive list of projects and collaborations developed throughout my career.
Over time, my love for nails grew into one of my main forms of artistic expression.
With The Cox Studio Nails, I’ve built a space where artistry meets innovation — offering custom luxury reusable gel nails designed for multiple wears, full customisation, and lasting quality. Each set is handmade, hand-painted, and created to reflect individuality and style.
The Cox Studio also provides professional makeup services for creative projects, campaigns, and special events, continuing the same dedication to artistry, technique, and vision that has guided my work from the beginning.
